Tour overview
The same two nights as our 3-Day Serengeti, across three parks instead of one
The same two nights as our 3-Day Serengeti safari, for about $200 more, across three parks instead of one — including the Ngorongoro Crater floor, where the rhino odds are the best in the northern circuit.
This is a driving safari with three parks in it, and we would rather say that plainly than let the itinerary speak for itself. Day one is a game drive plus roughly three hours on the road to the crater rim. Day two is the crater floor plus a further road transfer into the central Serengeti. That is the price of three parks in two nights, and there is no way around it — but it is also the single most common three-day combination in the market you are comparing us against.
If you would rather spend both nights in one place and go deep instead of wide, our 3-Day Serengeti safari gives you a full unbroken day in the Seronera valley for less. Both are legitimate trips; this page is for guests who want to see three parks, not sit still in one.
A game drive in Tarangire on arrival, a full crater-floor session, and a late-afternoon Serengeti drive on day two

What makes this safari
Two extra parks for about eight percent more
Our 3-Day Serengeti-only safari starts at $2,425 for two. This adds Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater for about $200 more.
The best rhino odds in the northern circuit
The Ngorongoro Crater floor holds black rhino, dense lion prides and flamingo on Lake Magadi, in an area compact enough to cover in a morning.
A driving safari, honestly sold
Day one is a game drive plus around three hours on the road; day two is the crater floor plus a further transfer. That is the price of three parks in two nights.

Day by day
Your safari, day by day
-
Day 1
Zanzibar to Tarangire, then up to the crater rim
An early hotel pickup in Zanzibar connects with the morning Auric Air departure to Kuro airstrip, inside Tarangire National Park. Your private guide meets you on arrival and you go straight into a game drive through Tarangire's elephant herds and baobab-lined river country, with a picnic lunch in the park.
From Tarangire it is a road transfer up into the Ngorongoro highlands, arriving on the crater rim in time for dinner. No Tarangire overnight is needed for this itinerary — day one is a game drive and a picnic lunch, then the transfer up, so only day-use park fees apply there.
-
Day 2
The crater floor, then on to the Serengeti
An early descent to the crater floor while the game is still moving — black rhino, large lion prides, elephant bulls and flamingo on Lake Magadi are all resident here, in an area compact enough to cover properly in a morning.
You ascend after lunch and drive on to the central Serengeti, crossing Naabi Hill Gate on the way. Park fees run per 24 hours, so that gate crossing is timed to land inside the window. A late-afternoon game drive follows on arrival.
-
Day 3
A full morning around Seronera, then home
A full morning game drive around the Seronera valley, then breakfast, check out and a final game-viewing run to Seronera Airstrip for the 10:00 Flightlink service back to Zanzibar, with a transfer waiting to take you to your hotel.

Children aged 0–4 carry no vehicle share, so two adults and an infant price in the 2-pax band. A party of eight needs a second vehicle and reprices for everyone — ask us before you book. 30% deposit confirms.
Two carriers cover this itinerary: Auric Air out to Kuro airstrip in Tarangire on day one, Flightlink home from Seronera on day three. They are separate legs on separate days rather than a same-day connection, which keeps the risk of one delay affecting the other low, but they are still two tickets with two separate conditions of carriage.

What the tiers mean. Mid-range in the Serengeti is a permanent lodge or a semi-permanent tented camp: en-suite bathroom, hot water, a real bed, full board, usually solar power with limited hours. It does not mean a pool or air conditioning.
Luxury is not one thing on this site. Properties are assigned by region, not by season — a permanent lodge in the central Serengeti, a tented camp in the north. Both are excellent and both cost the same. They are not the same kind of stay, so we label them by region rather than let you assume.

Questions
About this safari
How is this different from your 3-Day Serengeti safari?
Same two nights, but split across three parks instead of one: Tarangire on arrival, a night on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, then a night in the central Serengeti. It costs about $200 more per adult. If you would rather spend both nights in one place and go deep instead of wide, the 3-Day Serengeti-only safari is the better fit.
How much driving is actually involved?
Day one is a game drive plus roughly three hours on the road up to the crater rim. Day two is the crater floor plus a further road transfer to the Serengeti, crossing Naabi Hill Gate on the way. That is the price of three parks in two nights — we would rather tell you that plainly than let the itinerary speak for itself.
Why does this itinerary use two airlines?
You fly into Tarangire on Auric Air on day one, and home from the Serengeti on Flightlink on day three — separate legs on separate days rather than a same-day connection. That keeps the risk of one delay affecting the other low, though it does mean two tickets with two separate conditions of carriage.
Can I add Lake Manyara to this itinerary?
Yes — as a half-day stop on the road between Tarangire and Ngorongoro, at a flat per-person add-on rather than a full extra day. Ask us when you enquire.
